What is Standing Seam Metal Roofing?

Standing seam systems are premium metal roofing designed to hide fasteners by using concealed side laps or concealed clips. These can be either snap together systems or mechanically fastened panels.

Standing seam roof is constructed of many interlocking panels that run vertically from the roof's ridge (the top of the roof) to the eave. The interlocking seam where two panels join together is raised above the roof's flat surface, allowing water to run off without seeping between panels.

Standing seam metal roof can be fabricated on the jobsite to fit unique measures for every roof. They come in variety of shapes, sizes and colors.

Standing Seam Roofs Offer Excellent Protection

While the initial installation cost may seem high, standing-seam metal roof is the least costly roof option over the life of the roof because it is virtually maintenance-free and can last 50 years or more.

Metal roofing offers many benefits, such as durability, energy efficiency and long-term value. They are lightweight, fire resistant and require minumum maintenance.

Copper, galvanized steel, and aluminum are the three metal materials most commonly used to build standing-seam metal roofs.
